The Dr. Martens Store Locator was redesigned and rebuilt to address outdated design, poor performance, and misalignment with the brand’s bold identity. We began by defining key requirements to guide our approach, ensuring the new experience delivered both functionality and brand consistency.
Following a competitive audit and client-approved design directions, we implemented a high-performing, on-brand Mapbox-powered map, improved search functionality, and optimized mobile access. Additionally, we integrated Eventbrite’s API to power a dynamic live event calendar, streamlining promotions and updates. Turn-by-turn directions and flagship store event highlights further enhanced navigation and user engagement.

Dr. Martens needed a way to quickly and efficiently add new stores and update store information without relying on their development team. The existing CMS posed challenges, so the solution involved leveraging Airtable as a CMS.
This off-platform approach provided a flexible and scalable solution, empowering the marketing team to make updates and deploy changes in real time without needing developer involvement.
